The standard Faculty role limits editing in course assignments, quizzes, and instructional materials (Content). Faculty will have access to:

Customize discussion prompts

Post announcements (text, video, images, attachments, etc.)

Manage dates (due dates, start dates, end dates)

Add calendar items
-
Create intelligent agents
-
Schedule and record Zoom sessions
-
Provide grades/feedback (text, video, audio, inline feedback)

Manage groups
-
View classlist and class progress
-
Email from classlist and grades
-
Release final grades ​

What is the role of faculty with “Tier 3 Faculty” access?
The Tier 3 Faculty role is for faculty who have completed the Tier 3 Advanced Course Editing training. This role gives faculty advanced course editing permissions. Tier 3 faculty will support their schools in making hotfixes and curriculum updates between course development cycles.

Tier 3 Faculty role will not be available in NCUOne due to differences in system architecture.

Faculty are nominated by their school dean’s office to complete Advanced Course Editing training. Each school determines its own strategy for Tier 3 faculty use and course maintenance.
